HOMEWARD BOUND

We absolutely cannot believe that it has been 18 months already.  We fly home two weeks from tomorrow (Feb. 3).  Before then I am giving the RS lesson this Sunday, we have 2 temple prep lessons to give, we are giving a presentation at a couples' training in Birmingham on Sat.,  we are taking Ann Cheshire to Cheltenham Sunday to get her Patriarchal blessing, and we are both speaking in Sac. Mtg. on the 29th.  In between that we are trying to visit as many people as we can before we leave and we have dinner appts just about every night.  We will need a big-time vacation when we get home.  Good times!  We have absolutely loved all of it.

I am finally mostly recuperated from the accident.  I did spend another week in the hospital the first part of December.  I ended up with a hematoma on my left thigh about 14 in. long by 6 in. wide by 3 in. high that was full of infection.  They ended up cutting my leg open and cleaning it all out.  The color picture of what they pulled out was really COOL!  Once the infection was gone I immediately felt a ton better.  Still don't have all my energy back and have a little trouble with my balance, but am really feeling so much better.  Lots of crazy sensations going on in my stomach and it is still numb, but they say it could take at least a year for that to settle back to "normal."

We have been having a Church History study group one night a week for a few months.  Usually have around 13 people come.  And we have been teaching the Temple Prep. lessons to two more sisters.  One is a recent convert and the other has been inactive for several years and has recently come back.  They are both really excited about going to the temple.

We are in the midst of getting things organized and packed up.  We decided to ship all four of our big suitcases instead of fighting them on the train to London and at the airport.  So we have shipped two already.  We will go to Birmingham the 31st and turn our car in and then take the train to London on Feb. 1st.  We will spend the 1st and 2nd in London and then fly home on Feb. 3rd.  One of our sons booked us tickets to go see "Wicked" in London.  We are excited.

It is finally sinking in that we are going home and we are getting excited.  We have been trying to stay focused and not get too "trunky" but I think we are finally to that point.  We hav lots of tales to tell and lots of memories to bring home with us.  It has been a most wonderful experience and one that we wish everyone could have.  See you all soon.

Love, Elder and Sister Henry
