This and That

We had a great time with Spencer and Alyson and Grace last week. Even though it was a little cold and rainy, it didn't keep us from doing stuff. Grace had a blast at the castles. We had to pry her away out of the nook and crannies and spiral staircases. We stayed at a really cool B&B out in the woods one night. Would like to go back in the summer when everything is green. It was a beautiful setting.

Beryl Eden has been wanting a Quad set of scriptures, so we asked Spencer to pick one up for her and have her name put on it. Spencer, Alyson and Grace went with us to give it to her and she was so excited to get it. When she opened up the box and saw her name on it, she was soooo excited she couldn't believe it. She loves that book.

We also took them to visit Ann Cheshire. Ann had fallen on the sidewalk after church the previous Sunday and had a BIG BLACK eye. She was quite embarrassed, but served us tea and goodies and really enjoyed meeting some of our family. There were so many places we wanted to take Spencer and family to, but there just wasn't enough time. We had a list and only got through about half of it. Hopefully they will get to come back some time.

We have been back hard at work this week. The days are flying by. Raymond Brewer is going to let us start giving him the lessons next week. We haved high hopes for him. And Ann is beginning to understand things a little better from coming to the institute study group each week. We had a great FHE and visit with Gerry Matthews again this week and another appt. in a couple of weeks. He will come back eventually. He is just working through some personal "people" issues. That seems to be the problem with a lot of members here. We were able to watch a couple of sessions of conference at the church Sunday and then watched another one on the internet last night. Good talks!

Ya'll take care and we love and miss you!

There are so many things wrong with this sign. Shun Fat at a place where they deep fry everything.
This sign is on several bridges in the area. Really gives you confidence when you use the bridge.
We were heading in to GQ a few of the Knights at Goodrich Castle.
Grace slipped back a few years to do one of her infamous jumps!
I picked up a pet at the butterfly zoo.
This one landed on the first open spot he could find.
We had just conquered the maze at the Butterfly Zoo. Caerphilly Castle not far from Cardiff. Second largest in England covering 30 Acres.
Benbow Farm Pond where some 300 early saints from one congregation were baptised.

We have just waved good bye to Spencer and family. We shared 5 really good days. We saw a lot of fun stuff. The main things were two castles, Goodrich and Caerphilly. The butterfly museum was a lot of fun and included a maze. We visited St Fagan's National Natural Museum which included lots of examples of life in Wales all the way back to the iron age. We finished up on Saturday with a trip to Gadfield Elm Chapel and Benbow's Pond. If you are not familiar with them look up the history of Willford Woodruff. We stayed in the Angel Hotel in Cardiff one night and a great little Bed and Breakfast in the middle of the forest another night. All in all we really had a good time.

Now it is back to work. We shared dinner (Tea) and a FHE with a family this evening. Tomorrow we teach another Temple Preparation lesson to an 83 year old Sister and then lead the Scripture Study Group. In the evening we will be in Cheltenham for YSA Center training with the area director. Wednesday we have a FHE with a couple. He is inactive but really a great guy. She is active. Thursday we go to Worcester for District Meeting and then in the evening we are back to Cheltenham to be at the YSA Center. Friday we have two appointments. Between these things we hope to visit several other people. We will see what the time allows.

We seem to keep busy most of the time. Here we are almost half way through. I guess it is time to step it up a notch.

Love to everyone and Cheers for your support.
